For me, a good shoot is not only about producing beautiful images but also about everyone having a good time. I enjoy problem solving with the stylists and art directors I work with so that no matter what problems come our way, we always get the shot!
My interest in photography began in my teens through my studies of art and design. I learnt to shoot on film and for many years travelled the world with darkroom chemicals in my backpack. I switched to shooting digital when I set up Canada’s first surf school photography business in 2005 and since then have focused my work on editorial and advertising. Most recently, I’ve photographed a number of best-selling cookbooks, including The Great South African Cookbook for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
When I'm not shooting, I can be found surfing the waves in and around Cape Town.
